Website revamp: I have set up a website for a football club which contains a 
front page (basic description stuff), news items, diary, very basic forum 
(mainly very basic because of child protection rules - so no email addresses 
etc) an one or two other bits (such as any fixture in the diary can be easily 
converted after the event to a match report). 

It would be easy enough to convert the PHP/MySQL behind it to do very much the 
same for the NLUG website.  I don't think the forum would be useful* (the 
mailing list is better, and for sites without child protection 
responsibilities there are better forums around anyway if we wanted a 
web-based one), but the other features could make updates easier, and perhaps  
enable the responsibility for keeping the site up to date to be shared.


*Just corrected a typo from 'userful', which might have been just as accurate!
