[Nottingham] hello and a fond farewell

Hi to all Nottingham LUGites

I have been rather in the background since founding the LUG many moons
ago, though happy to see the steady growth in membership.

The time has come, however, for me to finally relinquish my last
remaining link - that of listmaster. I am moving next week to a new job
many miles from Nottingham. The job of listmaster is not onerous, having
to review a few messages a week that get caught in the spam trap (most
of them because they are spam!) and occasionally fixing mailing list
settings for a member.

If anyone feels they have the odd few minutes a day to do this, and have
support from a couple of other members, let me know. Or perhaps you all
feel that there should be nominations and a vote?

Just as an aside, the password that lets me access the mailing list will
not give access to the LUG website. (In case anyone thought of trying to
tunnel in?)

I will not be giving up my own membership of the LUG, after all I am
going to work as a developer using our favourite L.A.M.P to enlighten
the masses!
