Hi Nancy, and welcome to the list.

There is a problem with SUSE when you have both a wired and a wireless
connection set up. Even though your wireless connection may be correctly
set up, SUSE tries to go through the gateway on the wired interface. The
following information appears on http://susewiki.org:

"Given the case you have a notebook with integrated WLAN as well as a
normal network interface card, you cannot just configure both interfaces
at the same time without running into trouble. However, if you just want
to use LAN when you plugged in a network cable and use WLAN otherwise,
then there is a easy solution. Just set both intefaces to startmode on
cable connection (YaST -> Network Devices -> Network Card -> Advanced ->
Detailed Settings -> Device Activation). Afterwards your LAN device will
be the active one when there is a network link available, and your WLAN
device will be used when this is not the case.

Please note that the on cable connection method does not work with WPA. To
get it working somehow wit WPA, configure the wired interface with on
cable connection, and the wireless as manual but mark the user controlled
field. Now you can control your wireless interface from kinternet - just
pull out the cable, wait 10 seconds for the wired interface to go down
(easily monitored with e.g. "gkrellm") and then start the wireless
interface with kinternet. Not as automatic as the above, but works also
with WPA."

If that doesn't work then I'm sure there will be someone more
knowledgeable than me along in a jiffy. ;-)
