Well, I'm now using the xorg nv stuff for an nVidia Geforce2 AGP card.
Using the "nVidia Legacy" drivers caused X to often lock up on going
into or coming out of power saving mode. Firefox and xmms would also
occasionally display garbage in their screen areas.
Since switching to using "nv", all appears stable.
The GLX stuff still appears to work fine.
