I have now set the video ram to 8mb via the bios and tried out the
Ubuntu 6.06 live edition as well as Mandriva 2006 live edition. Ubuntu
can now work at up to 1280x1024 & Mandriva at up to 1024x768 so it looks
like I will be testing out the DVD versions of each to see which one I
like the most. I may also test out SUSE 10, Xandros Home Premium v4 &
Alinux as well. All this before deciding which one should replace
Bindows XP Pro.
