[Nottingham] RS232 abuse

OK Folks,

Anyone played with programming for _receiving_ data on a PC serial link?

I've got a clocked /synchronous/ bit stream from a device giving:

13 data bits;
The data is clocked on the falling edge of a clock signal;
First clock pulse is 1ms long, subsequent pulses are 0.128ms at 1ms
intervals.

Can a standard PC serial port take that, and how?

Or must I start soldering some chips together?

Cheers,
Martin
