I just want to give a bit more information about my talk tomorrow.
The talk will be a basic practical introduction to version control (also
known as revision control or source code management). It will include
introducing a few concepts, talking about current popular and emerging
tools, and showing a few examples. I may also cover a few issues such
as interoperability between the various tools and look at other
practical problems people might face such as how to migrate an existing
CVS repository to something else.
Beginners in this subject are welcome. Experts are welcome too to help
me answer any questions.
It would also be good to hear from anyone with any experiences (good or
bad) with any of the various version control tools.
