Well, I'll agree on the "Andy challenge" being more abusive than useful
/discussion/. Such abusive approaches tend to lead to equally abusive
entrenchment rather than reasoned argument.

10/10 for zeal awarded there. -100 for useful response.

Andy: Sorry, but you've not convinced me other than for your blind
religion of anti-CR. (This is a personal direct response being as, you
Andy, seem to be incapable of discussing an *argument* rather than
immediately throwing fire and brimstone and mud on the /messenger/.)

The spammers usually exercise no control nor restraint in how they spray
their muck around for everyone else to clear up for them. A bit like
farmer Giles driving down the high street with his muck spreader running
full bore to advertise his organic fertilizer...?

So... Where do I complain for the (one?) spammer that sent me over 1000
offers for Via*** all on one day?

This aspect in no way excuses use of any or all or whatever
counter-measures. However, what responses are there that are practical
and work for heavily targeted addresses whereby *every real mail* is
*precious*?

Andy: Are you capable of any reasoned /perspective/ on CR? (Note: This
is no comment on whether CR itself is good or bad.)

Andy: Have you got a /workable/ solution to rid the World of spam /at
source/? (No need for anti-spam and certainly no need for CR then...)

(Note: Further *personal* flaming or ad-hominum comments on this subject
will invoke my right as listadmin to avoid whomever list user(s) from
abusing all the rest of the list members on this list. However, note
also that useful "abstract" or "academic" and reasoned argument is
welcomed.)

Martin
