[Nottingham] Arduino (Hardware bit-twiddling fun)

Folks,
This month's Linuxformat mag (LXF 103, MARCH) covers amongst many things
the Arduino 'open source' hardware and running your own bit-twiddling
code on there.
The Arduino is based on an 8-bit RISC controller and includes USB for
control/setup from a PC.

The 'blinking LEDs' example in the LXF article is a good start example.
You can certainly do a lot more with it.
I'm going to be using one or two to replace my central heating
controller and for other things...
Anyone else interested in playing and combining code & hardware?
Arduino Wars even?! NLUG-A splinter group...? ;-)
