I've also been stung with a few office conversion issues recently - I
tend to work in OpenOffice Writer and use the "Save as..." --> "Word
97/2000/XP" to interoperate with Microsoft Word users (always PDF when
publishing), but I'm lax at checking and sometimes some gross table
formatting errors get passed on! I've yet to try the ODF import filter
addons in Microsoft Office 2007.
