Folks,

The first talk of the year and it's on an explosion of devices that
perhaps for the first time offer Linux pre-installed to the general public:


Netbooks!

What are they and are they any good?


OK... So I recently got one... Long after various others in the group
have been pathfinding with cheap XXXX ooops! "affordable" and easy
ultra-portability :-)

There's Michael-E to give his impressions of an Asus EeePC and also
myself to give first impressions of an Acer Aspire One. Followed by
general discussion and comments for the various other netbooks out there.

About 2 mins walk from The Trip to Jerusalem pub just the other side of
Castle Boulevard, next to The Irish. Right on top of the canal lock. Or
from the Waterfront area, head along the canal towards the castle until
you see the lock (and The Navigation).

Buses and parking at the Broadmarsh Centre nearby. Free parking after
6pm alongside the castle on Castle Boulevard and Castle Road (Trip To
Jerusalem).

We are in the large room upstairs. WiFi access available.
