[Nottingham] downloading i Player

Sorry for the confusion. We're trying to watch the videos from the BBCs iPlayer (e.g. video http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/cbeebies/episode/b00qhvyk/Alphablocks_Why/) through Firefox.

Are you trying to view them on your mp3 player (assumming it also has video capabilities) or are you trying to watch them back on your laptop/desktop system? 
 
If the latter, try using VLC for playback. I've yet to find something it will not play.

I've successfully downloaded getiplayer and go it to download a few radio programmes.

However, I've a problem. My son is now unable to hear the CBeebies videos though he can see them. Any ideas what might have happened?

Yes. http://linuxcentre.net/getiplayer will help you. it's a perl script which can download iPlayer video or radio.
