[Nottingham] Default distro for running virtualisation?

Folks,

One question from last night:

What's the present favoured distro for running virtualisation for trying
out multiple other distros?

Anyone actually doing that?

Also, one idea for multi-booting multiple distros and yet having common
access to user data is to:

Use four partitions for the first distro so that you have:

/	(system root)
swap	(swap space)
/home	(user home files)
/shared	(user directories to be shared amongst all the distros)

and thence use two further partitions for each subsequent distro install:

/	(system root distro #2)
/home	(user home files for distro #2)

and use the previously made swap and shared partitions as appropriate.

Now where is that web page where some geek was showing of a multiboot of
hundreds of OSes?!...

Cheers,
Martin
