I run Ubuntu 10.04 Lucid on PPC machines for testing kernel and other
builds:

iBook 2000
G3 iMac Summer 2002

With both I just added more RAM to make them useful.

With reasonable memory (512MB-1GB) both can run OS X 10.4 Tiger and
Ubuntu Desktop well.
