OK, so a slight variation on the old vi vs emacs 'debates'...

Actually forgot what I used to use on Windows... I can sympathise with
the schizophrenia if you're trying to do the same thing across multiple
systems but with different interfaces...

Isn't this going to come down to porting your favourite editor to work
across both platforms?...

Either that, or you reconfigure the key mappings for emacs to make it
behave how you like! :-)
