[Nottingham] An attack through Firefox?

There has been a spate of these lately, popping up in image searches -
when clicking on the image the page manages to reload itself and
redirect to a malware site with a fairly convincing 'scan' showing
'infections' and offering the chance to download a tool that will
'fix' them... it looks less convincing in Linux than it might in
Windows :)
