Nobody is closing your access to the internet.

You are free to leave your access point open, just as you are free to leave
your car unlocked with the keys inside.

Just don't be surprised when the police investigate you as a potential
suspect when your car is spotted as a getaway vehicle in a robbery, taking
your car away in order to perform a full forensic analysis whilst they
attempt to find out the identities of the real criminals, and clear YOUR
name in the process.
