No, I'm saying that if you leave your keys in your car and say, ramraids a
convenience store, then it is perfectly reasonable for the police to
investigate you as a potential suspect, if only to eliminate you as a
suspect and direct the investigation in the right direction.
Just as if someone uses your access point to download illegal material
through your internet connection, then it is perfectly reasonable for the
police to investigate you as a suspect, if only to eliminate you as a
suspect and direct the investigation in the right direction.
Are you saying that because you've decided to leave your access point open,
that the police should completely ignore you as a suspect if your internet
connection is used in order to perform illegal activities? If not, what
alternatives would you suggest compared to what's currently done in order to
proceed with a police investigation?
