[Nottingham] Wireless connection at University of Nottingham

Hey there,

I was wondering if there're any conceivable reasons as to why University
of Nottingham's UoN-secure doesn't work quite well with Ubuntu?

There are parts of the campus my wireless works perfectly with, and then
in some regions (such as the Pope Building), the DHCP takes absolutely
forever before timing out.

Surprisingly, it connects within seconds on my Win7 partition :S

PS. I've tried the Cripps help centre once, but they seem to be somewhat
useless when it comes to such problems, all they did was try to connect
to different accounts on this computer for about an hour and a half, and
gave me back the laptop saying there's nothing they can do. I would've
thought they would check some logs in the very least. Sorry if I seem a
bit hostile.
