[Nottingham] Wireless connection at University of Nottingham

Out of curiosity, and vaguely on topic, is there any way to make UoN WiFi
work with smartphones?  I think there must be some issue with proxy stuff
that I don't understand.

HTC Hero running 2.1 [rooted if that helps]
