virtualisation has several layers :-) i use linux-vserver.org, as i do
not need full virtualisation, capable to run m$ windows or different
kernels on the same machine. linux-vserver gives also one of the
lowest overheads, providing something like secure chroot which can
host different distributions and be controlled via cgroups.

in summary: virtualisation does not imply hypervisors :)
