What version and how are you crashing it?  It is one site or action in
particular?

The usual suspect is a dodgy add-on.  Disable all your add-ons and then
do whatever it is you do to make it crash.
If it does not crash, then enable each add-on one at a time until it
starts crashing again.

I've got FF 11 (with some of add-ons) on 10.10 and it is pretty stable.
 I get the odd hiccup once and a while.
