I am also going to this. I haven't considered transport yet, but I may
be getting the train from Beeston as it's less than a mile walk from
Leicester train station to where the talk is being held.

I emailed the event organiser (Gareth Lapworth) yesterday to ask if
any sort of registration was needed or if I could just turn up, and if
there would be parking. His reply:

"The talk is open to the general public, so please feel free to turn
up  The DMU car park is available to visitors on the day, and there
should be plenty of space available."

Tip: If you want to email him about anything, don't grab his public
key from the pgp keyservers and encrypt it. He's lost the matching
private key. ;)
