[Nottingham] Media Centre Linux distro?

I'm a mythtv man and mythbuntu has become easier and easier to use. Happy
to help with configuration like channel set up is needed.
I use a mixture of freeview and freesat tuners.
XBMC looks very good as a frontend and media player. I think it does
not tackle recording and scheduling by it's self,but can through a mythtv
backend.
HD playback is pretty good now with cheap nvidia vdpau capable hardware
