As do the likes of status.net, friendica etc.
And OwnCloud 4 has just dropped owncloud.org/owncloud-4-release-annoucement/
So no need to allow other "cloud services" to sniff your files.
Of course all the above mean knowing how to install an secure Apache etc
and either run a local server, or rent one.
i.e. pay for it. But people just was "free as in money" and never think
of "cost as in privacy".
