Have you heard of SPDY? It's basically the next version of HTTP. It's
already in Chrome, Google has already implemented it on all of their
major web properties. It's being developed for Firefox. There's an
Apache module, Nginx will include it soon too.

One of the features of SPDY is that it *requires* SSL.
