I personally like to run local resolvers using Unbound on all of my
machines. Even my Ubuntu laptop and my work Windows desktop. It's
really easy to set up Unbound as a validating DNSSEC resolver, and I'd
rather my laptop do the validation it's self than hand that off to
another server on the network where it can be MITMd.
