Doesn't work to well when you need to access a Windows box (hence RDP).
 I've used X forwarding before, but found it a bit laggy and the UI
looked dreadful.  To be fair, I've not really done X forwarding
GNU/LinuX - GnU/Linux, always G/L - OS X or G/L - Windows (Xming).

The lag might be down to the WiFi oddity, but the RDP session was fine.

One possibility, the other is that I have managed to configure things
oddly.  I'll try and do some testing later on.

I did consider that at one point, but decided against it for two reasons:
1) A cable and switch was cheaper;
2) Umm...there is no two.  :)
