[Nottingham] Firefox problem

32bit AMD - that could be the problem. 11.2 uses features that are not
available on some older AMD processors called "SSE2".

Do you see any results from running this command: grep sse2 /proc/cpuinfo
If not, then you processor does not have SSE2 and that version of Flash
won't work.

You can get around this by installing an older version of Flash manually
(remove the current one first). 11.1 is reported to work. If you can't
get it via Synaptic (one of the menus should give you the option to go back
to an earlier version), use the archive area of Adobe's site to download:
http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html

Someone else's tale:

A further option might be to try one of the alternatives (such as Gnash).
Remove Flash before trying this - cuts down on the chances of things
conflicting.

Sorry you're having all these problems.
