So "public" Facebook results will no longer be "public" to those people 
who don't want to have Facebook accounts.
Why does this remind me of the bad old days of AOL etc?  And they didn't 
end well for AOL!

This just makes things like the FreedomBox and Diaspora all the more 
important; not that I really expect the great unwashed to get that fact.

Says the man using the "free" service that reads all his email.  Ho hum.
