[Nottingham] Router/iptables/something masking external IP?

If anyone is at all curious, last night's adventures highlighted the need
to know which network you are on.

I had fat-fingered a setting, so was still on a router loopback when I
thought I was external.

fail2ban now working nicely, just to figure out how to have update the
rules on the router and not just the server.
