[Phpwm] Ubuntu installation problem

Hi guys,
This may not be the correct mailing list. but I hope somebody may be able to 
point me in the right direction.

I've just managed to install Ubuntu on my advent laptop. Was quite chuffed 
as I got my belkin wireless card working aswell as a host of other hardware!

However, I have a niggling problem. When ubuntu fires up it takes ages 
"Reading desktop files". There's nothing on my desktop... Any ideas?
