[Phpwm] Would Drupal be suitable for this project?

Hi Elliott thanks for the prompt reply,

Having each "mini-site" look different is not a big concern.

The Administrator private blog is the first feature that has been
asked for (so the site admins can be brainstorming as the site
develops) so its important that I can get that working ASAP.

Also does Drupal have any built in features/plugin for sending news letters?
