That sounds like a blank card for them to claim any future work you do,
even if it's not for them - as long as it's 'capable of being used or
adapted for use in connection with the business of the company'.
I'd be hoping for a lot of money before I signed that!

Indeed, we operate on a similar basis. However, we're heading towards
the position of developing the same type of application twice - although
it's been rewritten from scratch the second time.
