I=92d say the most important thing we look for is honesty and whether =
the candidate will gel into our team. I don=92t expect that someone is =
going to have all the skills we=92re looking for, and I=92d rather know =
upfront which skills they=92re going to need help and training with. But =
honesty about what you do and don=92t know, and a bit of personality =
will carry you a long way. We=92ll usually look at candidates who just =
have some basic PHP and MySQL if we think they=92re smart, and the right =
sort of people.
=20
Of course, if you=92re going for a job with some multi-national, rather =
than a small PHP development house, your mileage will definitely vary...
=20
Cheers,
=20
A.

Subject: [Phpwm] Interview Techniques
=20
Hi guys,
=20
I am currently working as PHP Web Developer but I'm applying for PHP =
developer roles nearer to Birmingham so I am going through the dreaded =
interview process again.=20
=20
I've had one so far which went ok but I just wondered what advice you =
guys may have for interviews, or even things you've done/said in =
previous interviews that you thought got you the job.=20
=20
I just wondered really as you guys are the php gurus around here and =
every little thing helps and all that :)=20
=20
Cheers :)
