Hi All,

Thanks for the previous advice on hiring. I've got the green light to
get started, so here it is!

I'm looking for a PHP / MySQL developer to join http://www.edleadesign.com
. I work on both client projects and self-commission projects / web
apps. Yes, currently it's a one-person-company! This is for a
permanent position in UK near Leamington Spa / Coventry.

For client projects, knowledge of PHP MVC frameworks and RAD is
essential. You will be working with frameworks such as Seagull, Zend,
CodeIgnitor, Drupal, Wordpress and many others. Your role will be
server-side development focused and you will work with other front end
developers who will create javascript/html/css. Although your primary
focus will be back-end development, a good knowledge of html/css/
javascript will be beneficial and in all likelihood you will be
comfortable with these languages.

Internally commissioned projects are a little more experimental. There
are currently two active sites:

http://www.artflock.com
http://www.soopsee.com

They integrate with APIs from sites like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr etc
so you will need to have experience with using APIs and preferably
oAuth.

Most of your time will be spent coding PHP (5) and MySQL that will be
delivered to thousands of people so good understanding of caching and
performance techniques will be preferable. Linux/sys admin/apache
configuration skill a big plus.

For this role I am looking for someone with a passion for web
development and programing, you do not need a huge amount of
experience but you have to be interested in experimenting with code
and familiar with the latest trends and techniques.
