Hello,
As you may realise there is a upcoming meeting next Weds. (7:30pm CM018, The 
Computing and Technology Building opp. Students' Union)
The meeting will essentially be an intro to new Linux users. The plan goes 
like this:

Could anyone interested who has a laptop (or a PC, if you can be bothered 
shifting it) that runs Linux bring it along. It would be good to demo to new 
users things such as:
Office applications (KOffice, openOffice etc)
Web applications (Mozilla, Kmail etc)
Multimedia Apps (Games, Audio/Video players etc)
Server stuff (Command line stuff: I'll sort this out)

We can provide monitors and other common peripherals (mice keyboards speaker 
etc)
It will be nothing more than just running the app under scrutiny and answering 
questions from any newbies who show up.
There will be the normal boozer trip afterwards at around 9pm
If you want to demo something please email me so I know whose going to show!

(BTW we can sort out a secure place to put any kit if you dont want to take it 
to the pub!)

Also if you know anyone who has always want to get into Linux but never quite 
bitten the bullet, let them know and send them along. We will be giving out 
specially customised free Knoppix CD's (thanks to Phil!) with the PLUG logo 
embedded.
