Thanks John...
I have installed centros.
I did disable the firewall then got in then set iptables using setup.
However, when I said that I have never used iptables I haven't.
I know that it is not a good idea to allow eth0 but I do need to allow certain ip addresses to have access via eth0.
This is what I am unsure about - at the moment.
