Hello,
There will be a meeting on Weds at the usual time in the usual place (7:30pm,
CM018, C&T building at the University of Central Lancs, Fylde Rd, Preston and
afterwards in the Greyfriars pub Friargate @ roughly 9:00pm)

The topic is "Virtual Machine Monitors" hosted by Phil, the PLUG president.
Phil was recently voted "Best dressed Linux user of 2004" in a national poll
in "Hello" magazine (I guess it was for his Proud Penguin autumn collection
of *nix wear).
On Wednesday he will be demonstrating some things relating to VMM's that he
believes will surprise and astonish.

The meeting will also give us the chance to rant about software patents. At
least a couple of PLUG members have been invited to attend the meeting
organised by the UK Patent Office to clarify what is meant by "technical
contribution" in the context of a software patent.
Read about it here:
http://www.patent.gov.uk/media/pressrelease/2005/0402.htm

Hope to see you there!
Best regards!
