This is great for groups that want to get many people contributing, but to
keep some quality control :-)

It's certainly easier to use (for end users/content providers) than
most of its (PHP-based) rivals.

We do Plone, but we're currently lacking my ideal Plone staff
member (I think he's too successful to join us ;), so I'm doing
it all ;^)

It takes a bit of getting used to, but is a very powerful framework.
To get started, get a recent version (development is rapid) - Debian
Etch has a good recent version. If you are new to CSS, that will be
the other thing you'll really want to learn (try one of the Meyer
books) to change the stock appearance. Of course there are many
skins available ready-made.

Although our company is incorporated in Stourbridge, I'm mostly
working in the North West, where we have Plone user groups, and
developers such as Andy McKay, author of ``The Definitive Guide
to Plone'', on hand to help.

The W Mids Python group contains Plone users.

We do Plone sites for voluntary. community and education projects :-)

btw I went to a Plone 3 talk at FOSDEM on Sunday - it looks great.
Versioning control is being introduced, and any page with rich text
automatically acquires wiki functionality. :-)
