Way to "stimulate interaction of members on the Mailman list" ...

How does Elgg allow us to keep up with the discussion via email?

I can't seem to find the option to get email notifications of replies
to each thread reply in the discussion forums.

Email interaction is very important for me, I 'live' in my email and
if I get two minutes scanning email and I see a query I might be able
to help with then I'll help, if I have to actively go and seek it out
sadly I'm much less likely to be involved.
