I think these modems can be made to work under Linux although I have never
tried (even though I do have one). Go to
http://speedtouch.sourceforge.net/index.php?/download.en.html to get the
Linux drivers. You also need to goto
http://www.speedtouch.com/driver_upgrade_lx_3.0.1.2.htm to get the firmware.
Everytime these modems are turned off they loose their firmware and so every
time you turn them on it needs uploading back into memory before they will
work. This can be done manually or automatically with the hotplug package.
