Hi Al, Martin,

Thanks for this info. Does look like it's time to upgrade then but I just
know it will break something.

Martin, that was probably me and I would not have known this. I use
subversion extensively.

Does anyone have an opinion on whether I should upgrade or just install a
nice new crud free version from scratch? I know a new installation will take
longer but it does mean I can buy a new HDD and then keep the Etch
installation going until I'm happy with the new one.
