I tried to install debian onto an old abacus, but couldn't find
anywhere to boot the CD from :^)

More seriously I discovered a debian mailing list for running debian
on "handheld computers derived from Pilot" so I'm wondering what
nasties I can do to my Handspring Visor *8)

Apologies from being away from the list for so long; it's the dangers
of moving house, falling off mailing lists and forgetting to
resubscribe because you're too busy doing domestic things!
