ManLUG meetings for February and March 2004

February 21 2004, 14:00, in the usual place, the Lascelles Williams
room on the ground floor of the Kilburn Building at the University
of Manchester. (For more information, see our web site:
http://www.manlug.man.ac.uk, under 'How to find us'.) Reminder:
Please bring a 'photo ID' to show the porters if you are asked.

     John Logsdon, Quantex Research Ltd

John writes:

My talk will be on a Linux system I have been developing for providing
pay-as-you go computing aimed particularly at small companies and
statisticians. A full hands-on will unfortunately not be possible.

I will divide the talk into 4 parts:

1. Background of the issues, which is necessary to understand the
motivation.

2. A quick whizz round the web-based management system.

3. A long discussion of the security issues.

4. Future plans.

I hope this will prove a useful and stimulating discussion which is
particularly Linux and Manchester-centric.

March 20 2004, 14:00, usual place.

No volunteers yet.

April 17 2004, 14:00, usual place.

And no volunteers for this, either!
