Any PalmOS PDA will synchronise well in terms of basic PIM functions using JPilot (not to be confused with Jpilot the Java desktop editor for PilotDB). USB can be a bit of a hassle, but there are not many serial based PDAs left. If you save into rtf from Star Office and buy Wordsmith, you can get a Nautilus script to automate the conversion. Unfortunately most PalmOS software is designed with Windows in mind, but they are a lot cheaper than the Zaurus mentioned in the other reply.
