[SC.LUG] Mandrake 10.1 Installing software

I'm new to Linux, and have tried, briefly, versions such as Redhat and  Suse. 
 I have now decided on Mandrake 10.1
 
I have installed the distro correctly (at last!) and looked at some of the  
software that is already installed.  I have tried (Oh! so many times!) to  
install a game (called Xconq).  I eventually seemed to have installed it  from an 
rpms file.
 
My problem is simple to tell: how do I run it?  I have looked for some  kind 
of exe file.  I have poured through the Kde folder looking for some  reference 
to Xconq, but to no avail.
 
Can anyone guide me?  Briefly, I am in the position that I have  Mandrake 
10.1 (which I have heard is an incredibly easy version of Linux) but am  unable 
to install and run a blessed thing!
