Well, for anyone on this list interested in BSD, Manchester BSD-UG

meet on the first Tuesday of the month, in various real-ale pubs
in that city. Attendance is usually 6-8 people, and discussion
free-ranging (yes, a lot like the old sc.lug meetings, but perhaps
a little less tolerant of Emacs ;-)
Tuesdays aren't so good for me outside of May-Aug, so I don't
go atm, but I'm sure I'll be back there next summer :-)
