I've a friend who is currently recruiting for 4 roles in Salford Quays
for a US based financial services company, predominantly Windows based,
but with some Linux.

The roles are:

Help Desk Administrator
DBA - MSSQL Server & Clustering
Wintel Admin - Usual Suspects + Citrix and some Linux
Application Engineer - Linux, Java and apps servers
