Not true in my experience - I've upgraded though various point releases
using Mandriva (though if it's a jump of more than one release I tend to
play safe and do a fresh install

My home server runs mdv 2007 so I'm getting to that point.. work laptop
runs gutsy so I shall soon be doing a direct comparison!
